Kathmandu, Nepal — Former rapper and prominent political figure Balendra “Balen” Shah has officially announced his bid for Prime Minister of Nepal, marking a significant shift in the country’s political landscape ahead of the general elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.
Shah has joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) as part of a newly formed political alliance aimed at challenging Nepal’s long-established parties.
